Which data we process and why
The public pages of this site have no forms. The personal data we process through them is what you choose to send us by email (your name, your email address, your company and what you tell us), and we process it only to reply and, if you ask, to prepare a proposal. The legal basis is your request and, where applicable, the pre-contractual relationship. Customer access (“Sign in”) uses a user account: its email address and session identifier are processed to authenticate the person, and its use is also governed by the data processing agreement signed with each company.
Cookies and analytics
The public pages use no tracking cookies and no analytics tools that identify people. The only local storage they may use is your light or dark theme preference, which never leaves your device. Customer access uses strictly necessary session cookies only.
Processors and transfers
The site is hosted by Vercel Inc., with the serving region set in the European Union (Paris). Email is handled with Microsoft 365. Customer sign-in is authenticated with Supabase, with the project hosted in the European Union (Frankfurt). All three act as processors under their respective contracts and standard contractual clauses. We do not sell or share data with third parties.
Retention
Emails are kept while the conversation lasts and, if there is a commercial relationship, for as long as tax and commercial law require. You can ask for their deletion at any time.
Your rights
You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability by writing to albertoangulo@thebackbone.ai. If you believe we have not handled your request properly, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es).
The Backbone product
When a company contracts Backbone, the processing of that company’s data is governed by the data processing agreement signed with it; the data is stored in the European Union, in a database isolated per company. This policy covers this website and the customer access described above.
