# The Backbone Tech > The Backbone Tech helps mid-sized companies transform without stopping: it solves what holds a team back today, step by step and at a pace the company can sustain, with tailored AI systems that work on the tools the company already uses and run on Backbone OS, the company's own product. ## How we think - Start with what gets stuck today: one concrete, measurable problem before a transformation plan. - Put things in order before automating: clear data, well-configured tools and explicit criteria. - Move in steps that stand on their own: every step leaves something working. - Leave what matters with people: the system asks when a decision has consequences, and what can be undone has a way back. - Keep what is learned inside the company. - Use the tools you already have, and stay free to change vendors and models. ## What the company does - Learns how the company works: people, customers, suppliers, exceptions and the reason behind each practice. - Gets systems, data and teams ready. Email, ERP, CRM, spreadsheets and documents stay where they are and are connected around a named outcome. - Deploys tailored AI that reads, proposes and acts within its authority, and checks its own work. - Runs every deployment on Backbone OS, so each action records who acted, with what authority and what changed, with a path to undo or correct it. - Leaves a foundation that the next process reuses. Built first for companies of 50 to 500 people. ## Where it starts - One recurring, measurable process that is hard to coordinate today: the work that falls between people and tools. - Typical cases: orders that move from start to finish, invoices and collections that add up, purchasing with the comparison done, incidents with an owner and a deadline. - The operating objects on the site (order 1842, invoice F-928, request SC-052, incident 091) are fictional examples, not customer deployments. - Tools: the company's own AI and work tools come first; for each case, the simplest option that works: use, configure, connect or build — and sometimes wait for what a vendor is about to solve. ## How we work (indicative timeline) - Weeks 1–3: understand the operation with the people who do the work. - Weeks 4–8: get sources, authority and context ready. - Weeks 8–12: first process in production, run by the customer's team. - Afterwards: improve and extend. Each new process starts from the previous foundation. Scope, timing and commercial terms are agreed for each engagement. Standard prices are not published. ## Backbone OS Backbone OS is The Backbone Tech's product foundation. Above it, models, tools and methods stay replaceable and choose how to solve within an authorised goal. Beneath them, the system holds: - Identity: who acts, for whom and inside which company. - Authority: what may be read, proposed or done, and where that scope ends. - Truth: what the company holds as true, with provenance and an owner. - Effects: what changed outside the system and the best available recovery path. It also keeps work durable through failures and retries, proposes external effects before they happen and issues a receipt for every action. Open standards the work converges on: MCP, A2A, OAuth 2.1 and OpenID Connect, OpenTelemetry and Agent Skills. They are adopted as they mature, and the state of each integration is stated with its date. Verified state on 15 September 2026: working local beta, with the release candidate still in development. Backbone OS currently comes inside each deployment and is not sold as standalone software. ## Evidence - Local beta: tasks keep their identity and state through retries, crashes and recovery. - Evidence class: synthetic proof. 30 cases, 30 terminal receipts, 0 duplicate effects and 0 additional effects on replay, with invented data and controlled execution. - Local beta: every proposal and execution keeps who acted, within which scope and what outcome was observed. Not yet attributed to a customer deployment. - The interactive order record on the home page is a fictional example. These claims describe controlled product evidence, not published customer impact. ## Pages - https://www.thebackbone.ai/ — Spanish company presentation - https://www.thebackbone.ai/en — English company presentation - https://www.thebackbone.ai/casos and https://www.thebackbone.ai/en/cases — common cases, with fictional operating objects - https://www.thebackbone.ai/como-trabajamos and https://www.thebackbone.ai/en/how-we-work — the method: four stages with steps, deliverables and when the next stage starts - https://www.thebackbone.ai/producto and https://www.thebackbone.ai/en/product — Backbone OS, the company's own product - https://www.thebackbone.ai/manifiesto and https://www.thebackbone.ai/en/manifesto — manifesto - https://www.thebackbone.ai/privacidad and https://www.thebackbone.ai/en/privacy — privacy information - https://www.thebackbone.ai/aviso-legal and https://www.thebackbone.ai/en/legal-notice — legal notice ## Company The Backbone Tech, S.L.U. · Tax ID B23994668 · Madrid, Spain · contact through the company website Last updated: 18 September 2026.
